The GUHRING 9064080027800 is a solid carbide micro drill bit designed for precision drilling in demanding metalworking applications. It measures 0.1094 inches (7/64 inch) in diameter with a 135-degree faceted point angle and a TiAlN coating that extends tool life under high-heat cutting conditions. The drill features a web-thinned, tapered web configuration and a spiral flute design that promotes chip evacuation. With coolant-through capability and an overall length of 66.00 mm, this bit suits high-precision CNC drilling operations where tight tolerances and consistent hole quality are required. It is sold individually.
This drill bit is built for machining cast iron, stainless steel, and steel as primary workpiece materials, with secondary capability on aluminum and titanium alloys. The straight-cylindrical shank with a 4.00 mm shank diameter fits standard collet chucks and toolholders used in CNC machining centers and precision drilling fixtures. The 8xD flute-by-diameter ratio supports deeper hole applications relative to drill diameter, making it well suited for production environments where consistent, repeatable results in hard or abrasive materials are expected.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and precision drilling equipment accepting a 4.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Rated for primary workpiece materials cast iron, stainless steel, and steel (material codes K, M, P) and secondary workpiece materials aluminum and titanium alloy (material codes N, S). Part of the GUHRING Series 6408.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel. Secure the shank fully in the collet or chuck to the specified grip length before use, and verify runout is within acceptable tolerance before drilling. Ensure the machine spindle and coolant-through system are properly set up before engaging the workpiece. Inspect the cutting edges for wear or chipping before each use and replace the drill if the TiAlN coating shows significant degradation.
