The GUHRING 9060700040000 is a straight-flute solid carbide drill bit designed for precision drilling in aluminum, cast iron, and similar non-ferrous and ferrous materials. Built from sub-micrograin carbide, it holds a sharp 130-degree point angle and features a web-thinned tip to reduce thrust and improve centering on entry. The bright, uncoated finish makes it well suited for aluminum applications where coating adhesion or built-up edge is a concern. Coolant-through capability allows internal coolant delivery to the cutting zone, extending tool life and improving chip evacuation in deep-hole operations. This bit is sized at 4.00 mm diameter with a 6.00 mm shank and carries an m7 diameter tolerance.
This drill bit is used in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual machine tools where tight hole tolerances are required. The 10xD flute-to-diameter ratio and 71.00 mm maximum drilling depth support deeper hole applications relative to the tool diameter. It is appropriate for light-duty production environments as well as toolroom and maintenance machining. The right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional spindle rotation. Machinists and tooling specialists working with aluminum castings, non-ferrous alloys, and gray cast iron will find this bit fits common high-precision drilling requirements.
Designed as a Series 6070 straight-flute carbide drill for use in standard CNC and manual machine tool spindles accepting a 6.00 mm shank; primary workpiece materials are aluminum (material code K) and cast iron (material code N).
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard tooling and workholding procedures. Ensure the spindle and collet or chuck are clean and properly torqued before seating the shank. When using the coolant-through feature, verify that the machine coolant system pressure and flow rate are compatible with internal-coolant tooling before operation. Never exceed the tool manufacturers recommended feed and speed parameters for the workpiece material.
