The GUHRING 9055250103200 is a solid carbide extra length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding industrial and metalworking applications. Built to Series 5525 standards, it features a 0.4063-inch diameter, a 140-degree drill point angle, and an overall length of 204 millimeters (approximately 8.03 inches). The FIREX coating provides enhanced wear resistance and heat protection, extending tool life in tough materials. A coolant-through design delivers cutting fluid directly to the cutting zone, making it suitable for deep-hole drilling operations where heat and chip evacuation are critical. This bit is installed by machinists, tool-and-die makers, and precision fabricators working in production or job-shop environments.
This drill bit is engineered for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual machines requiring extended reach. Its primary workpiece materials are cast iron and steel, with secondary capability in aluminum and titanium alloys. The 12xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports drilling to a maximum depth of approximately 135.36 millimeters (approximately 5.33 inches), making it well-suited for deep-hole applications where standard-length drill bits cannot reach. The straight-cylindrical shank with a 12.00 millimeter diameter seats securely in standard collet chucks and drill holders.
Designed for use in CNC and manual machine tool setups accepting a 12.00 millimeter straight-cylindrical shank. Rated for primary workpiece materials including cast iron and steel, with secondary suitability for aluminum and titanium alloys per material codes K, P, H, M, N, and S.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with cutting tool setup and machine tool operation. Ensure the machine spindle and coolant system are fully powered down and locked out before mounting or removing the bit from its holder. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank firmly in a properly sized collet or drill chuck to prevent runout. Verify that the machine coolant-through system is compatible and active before beginning deep-hole drilling cycles to prevent premature tool wear or workpiece damage.
