The GUHRING 9055250079400 is a solid carbide extra length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding industrial and machining applications. Built to Series 5525 standards, it features a 5/16-inch diameter, a 140-degree standard point angle, and a FIREX coating for extended tool life under high heat and wear conditions. The spiral flute geometry is right-hand cutting with a web-thinned, tapered web configuration that supports self-centering entry and reduces thrust force. Coolant-through capability allows internal flood or mist delivery to the cutting zone. This bit is suited for use by machinists, tool-and-die professionals, and CNC operators working in production environments.
This drill bit is engineered for primary use in cast iron and steel workpieces, with secondary capability in aluminum and titanium alloys. The 12xD flute-to-diameter ratio and 108 mm flute length give it reach well beyond standard-length tooling, making it appropriate for deep-hole work where a standard jobber bit cannot reach. The straight-cylindrical shank seats directly in standard drill chucks or collet holders without modification. It is well-suited for vertical machining centers, drill presses, and multi-spindle setups requiring consistent hole geometry at depth.
Designed as an OEM-grade solid carbide extra length drill for use in cast iron, steel, aluminum, and titanium alloy workpieces per GUHRING Series 5525 specifications and DIN 6537 standards.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with CNC or manual drilling equipment. Ensure the spindle and chuck or collet are fully powered down and secured before tool changes. Verify that coolant-through lines are properly connected and flow-tested before initiating deep-hole cycles. Consult machine tool manufacturer guidelines and applicable DIN 6537 standards for runout tolerances and feed-rate parameters appropriate to workpiece material.
