The GUHRING 9055250069000 is a solid carbide extra length drill bit engineered for high-performance drilling in demanding production and machining environments. The bit measures 6.9 mm in diameter with a 146 mm overall length and a 108 mm flute length, giving it the reach needed for deeper-hole applications beyond the range of standard-length tooling. It carries a FIREX coating for extended tool life and heat resistance, and the 140-degree point geometry with RT100 U point type supports self-centering and facet point grinding. Coolant-through capability is built in, making it suitable for high-speed CNC operations where heat management is critical. This tool is sized to the h7 diameter tolerance standard.
This drill bit is designed for machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and CNC operators working in job shop, production, or aerospace environments. Primary workpiece materials include cast iron and steel. Secondary materials include aluminum and titanium alloys. The 2-flute spiral configuration with a regular spiral type and web-thinned geometry promotes chip evacuation in deep-hole passes. At 12xD flute-to-diameter ratio, it handles drilling depths up to approximately 97.65 mm. The straight-cylindrical shank at 8 mm diameter seats into standard ER or straight-shank toolholders without adapters.
Part of the GUHRING Series 5525 extra length drill program. Rated for primary workpiece materials cast iron and steel (ISO material codes K and P), with secondary compatibility for aluminum, titanium alloy, and other materials under ISO codes H, M, N, and S. Conforms to DIN 6537 standards.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC technician with the machine powered down and spindle locked before toolholder access. Seat the straight-cylindrical shank fully and evenly in a properly sized collet or toolholder to the specified clamping depth before torquing. Verify coolant-through passages are clear and coolant pressure is set to the machine and toolholder specification before initiating a drilling cycle. Consult applicable shop safety standards and machine manufacturer guidelines for runout verification and tool-change procedures.
