The GUHRING 9055250065000 is a solid carbide extra length drill bit designed for demanding precision drilling applications in metalworking environments. Built to DIN 6537 standards, it features a 6.5 mm diameter, a 140-degree standard point angle, and a FIREX coating for extended tool life under high-heat cutting conditions. The spiral flute geometry is right-hand cutting with a web-thinned, tapered web configuration that reduces entry force and promotes chip evacuation. Coolant-through capability supports high-performance drilling cycles where heat management is critical. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in production or job-shop settings are the primary installers of this tooling.
This drill bit is suited for machining cast iron and steel as primary workpiece materials, with secondary capability in aluminum and titanium alloy. The 12xD flute-to-diameter ratio and 108 mm flute length allow deep-hole drilling up to 98.25 mm maximum drilling depth. The straight-cylindrical shank seats in standard drill chucks or collet holders without modification. It is a high-performance grade tool appropriate for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and multi-spindle setups operating at controlled feed and speed parameters.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct specification drill bit for applications requiring DIN 6537 Series 5525 solid carbide extra length drills in 6.5 mm diameter with straight-cylindrical shanks.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician familiar with carbide cutting tool handling. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank in a properly sized collet, drill chuck, or hydraulic toolholder torqued to the machine manufacturer's specification. Verify spindle RPM and feed rate are set according to the workpiece material and coolant delivery is active before engaging the cut. Carbide tooling is brittle — avoid side loads, interrupted cuts without appropriate parameters, and dropping or impact against hard surfaces.
