The GUHRING 9055250060000 is a solid carbide extra length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding industrial and metalworking applications. Built to DIN 6537 standards, this Series 5525 bit features a 140-degree drill point angle with a web-thinned, tapered web configuration for reliable self-centering and reduced thrust. The FIREX coating provides enhanced wear resistance and heat reduction at the cutting edge. At 0.2362 inches (6.00 mm) in diameter with an overall length of 4.567 inches (116.00 mm), it delivers extended reach for deep-hole work where standard-length drills fall short. Coolant-through capability supports chip evacuation and tool life in difficult materials. Installed by machinists and tool-room technicians in CNC and manual drilling operations.
This drill bit is suited for production and precision drilling in cast iron and steel as primary workpiece materials, with secondary capability in aluminum and titanium alloys. The 12xD flute-to-diameter ratio and 3.071-inch (78.00 mm) flute length allow drilling to a maximum depth of 2.717 inches (69.00 mm) per pass. The straight-cylindrical shank with a shank length of 1.417 inches (36.00 mm) seats directly in standard drill chucks and collet holders without adapters, making it straightforward to deploy in both manual and CNC setups.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit tooling option for straight-cylindrical shank drill chucks and collet systems accepting a 0.2362-inch (6.00 mm) shank diameter. Primary workpiece materials rated for this bit are cast iron (material code K) and steel (material code P), with secondary suitability for aluminum, titanium alloy, and related material codes H, M, N, and S.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tool-room technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and locked out before seating or removing the bit from any chuck or collet holder. Verify chuck or collet bore matches the 0.2362-inch shank diameter before tightening to prevent runout. Enable coolant-through flow before initiating cuts in deep-hole applications to maintain chip evacuation and prevent heat buildup at the cutting tip.
