The GUHRING 9055250055000 is a solid carbide extra length drill bit designed for precision drilling in demanding metal-cutting applications. Built to Series 5525 specifications, this bit features a FIREX coating, a 140-degree split point, and web-thinned geometry for self-centering entry without a pilot hole. The 0.2165-inch diameter and 12xD flute-to-diameter ratio make it suited for deep-hole drilling where standard-length drills fall short. Coolant-through construction supports high-feed operations by flushing chips and reducing heat at the cutting edge. Licensed HVAC, plumbing, and electrical tradespeople working in metal fabrication environments, as well as machinists and tooling specialists, will find this bit engineered for production-grade performance.
This drill bit is rated for primary use in cast iron and steel (ISO material codes K and P) and is also capable in aluminum and titanium alloys (ISO codes H, M, N, and S). The extra length configuration, with a flute length of 78 millimeters and a maximum drilling depth of 2.746 inches (69.75 mm), suits applications requiring reach beyond standard drill lengths. Typical install scenarios include CNC machining centers, drill presses, and precision hand-operated equipment where a straight-cylindrical shank and consistent diameter tolerance are required.
Designed as a Series 5525 OEM-style replacement or new-application drill bit for use in CNC and manual drilling equipment accepting a 0.2362-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Conforms to DIN 6537 standards.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with carbide tooling handling. Power down and lock out all equipment before inserting or removing the bit from any chuck or collet. Carbide tooling is brittle and should not be subjected to side loads or impacts during handling or setup. Confirm coolant-through passages are clear and coolant flow is established before initiating deep-hole drilling cycles.
