Built to DIN 6537 standards, this bit features a 140-degree drill point angle, spiral flutes, and a web-thinned tapered web configuration that promotes self-centering and reduces thrust during entry. The FIREX coating provides heat and wear resistance, extending tool life in abrasive materials. At 4.50 mm (0.1772 inches) in diameter with a 102.00 mm overall length and a 12xD flute-to-diameter ratio, this bit is designed for deep-hole drilling with consistent accuracy. Right-hand cutting direction and a straight-cylindrical shank make it compatible with standard drill chucks and collet holders.
This bit is suited for machining cast iron and steel as primary workpiece materials, with secondary suitability for aluminum and titanium alloys. Secure the shank fully in the toolholder to the recommended grip depth before use, and verify runout before cutting. When using the internal coolant-through feature, confirm the machine spindle delivers coolant at a pressure compatible with this tool type. Carbide tooling is brittle — avoid impact or side-loading during setup and storage, and do not use this bit for interrupted cuts unless the machine setup is rigid and vibration-free.
