The GUHRING 9055250038000 is a solid carbide extra length drill bit engineered for demanding, deep-hole drilling applications in metalworking environments. Built to Series 5525 standards and finished with FIREX coating, it delivers heat and wear resistance in high-cycle production settings. The bit measures 3.80 mm (0.1495 inches) in diameter with an overall length of 90.00 mm and a flute length of 50.00 mm, giving it a 12xD flute-to-diameter ratio. A 140-degree drill point angle with web thinning and a self-centering facet point geometry promotes accurate entry and reduced thrust. Coolant-through capability supports chip evacuation and thermal management in deep-hole work. Cutting direction is right-hand, and the two-flute spiral design uses a regular helix for consistent chip flow.
This drill bit is suited for production drilling in cast iron and steel as its primary workpiece materials, with secondary capability in aluminum and titanium alloys. The straight-cylindrical shank at 6.00 mm diameter and 36.00 mm shank length fits standard collet and drill chuck toolholding systems commonly found on CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual mills. Maximum drilling depth is rated at 42.00 mm. It is well-matched to applications requiring tight positional accuracy and consistent hole quality in medium-to-high-volume metal fabrication, automotive, aerospace, and general machining environments.
Designed as an OEM-grade replacement or direct-spec drill bit for straight-cylindrical shank toolholding systems; compatible with standard collets, drill chucks, and shrink-fit holders accepting a 6.00 mm shank. Primary workpiece materials are cast iron and steel (ISO material codes K and P); secondary workpiece materials include aluminum and titanium alloys (ISO codes H, M, N, and S).
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician with the machine powered down and all energy sources locked out per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Ensure the toolholder bore is clean and free of debris before seating the shank to maintain runout tolerance. Coolant lines should be confirmed clear and delivering adequate flow before commencing deep-hole cycles. Do not exceed the rated maximum drilling depth of 42.00 mm without retracting for chip clearance.
