The GUHRING 9055250036000 is a solid carbide extra length drill bit in the Series 5525 product line, designed for high-performance drilling in demanding industrial and machining applications. The bit features a 3.60 mm (0.1417 inch) cutting diameter with a 140-degree drill point angle, spiral flute geometry, and a FIREX coating that provides enhanced wear resistance and thermal stability at elevated cutting speeds. A web-thinned, tapered web configuration reduces thrust force and supports self-centering entry. Coolant-through capability allows internal delivery of cutting fluid directly to the cutting edge, making it well suited for deep-hole operations in difficult materials.
This drill bit is rated for primary use in cast iron and steel (ISO material codes K and P) and is also applicable to aluminum, titanium alloy, and other materials classified under ISO codes H, M, N, and S. With a flute-to-diameter ratio of 12xD and a maximum drilling depth of 42.00 mm, it is intended for precision machining centers and CNC drilling operations where extended reach and tight tolerances are required. The straight-cylindrical shank with a 6.00 mm diameter and 36.00 mm shank length provides positive clamping in standard collet and drill chuck toolholding systems.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and precision drilling equipment that accept straight-cylindrical shank toolholding in 6.00 mm diameter. Rated for primary workpiece materials of cast iron and steel, with secondary compatibility for aluminum and titanium alloy. Conforms to DIN 6537 standards.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator familiar with carbide tooling. Ensure the toolholder collet or chuck is clean, undamaged, and properly torqued to the manufacturer specification for the toolholding system in use before operation. Carbide tooling is brittle and must not be subjected to side loads or interrupted cuts outside the tool's rated parameters. Verify coolant-through supply pressure and flow rate are compatible with the machine spindle before use.
