The GUHRING 9055250031000 is a solid carbide extra length drill bit engineered for high-performance drilling in demanding production environments. It measures 3.10 mm (0.122 inches) in diameter with an overall length of 90.00 mm and a flute length of 50.00 mm, providing extended reach where standard-length drills fall short. The FIREX coating delivers enhanced wear resistance and thermal stability, extending tool life in abrasive materials. A 140-degree drill point angle combined with web thinning and a standard point type promotes accurate entry and reduced thrust force. This bit is designed for use by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working in CNC and conventional drilling applications.
This drill bit is suited for drilling cast iron and steel as primary workpiece materials, with secondary capability in aluminum and titanium alloys. It is a Series 5525 tool with a 12xD flute-to-diameter ratio, making it appropriate for deep-hole drilling cycles where chip evacuation and rigidity are critical. The maximum drilling depth is 43.00 mm. Coolant-through capability supports high-speed drilling cycles with through-spindle coolant systems commonly found in machining centers and CNC drilling equipment.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-application drill bit for use in machining centers, CNC drill presses, and conventional drilling equipment accepting a 6.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Conforms to DIN 6537 standards.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe, locked-out state per applicable machine safety procedures. Ensure the collet or chuck bore matches the 6.00 mm shank diameter before tightening. Verify through-spindle coolant pressure and flow rate are configured per machine specifications before running at full feed and speed. Handle solid carbide tooling carefully to avoid chipping the cutting edges during setup.
