Built to DIN 6537L standards, it features a 13.80 mm diameter, a 140-degree 4-facet point, and a multi-layer FIREX proprietary coating that extends tool life in abrasive and heat-generating cuts. The web-thinned, tapered web geometry reduces entry force and supports self-centering behavior at the point. With an overall length of 124.00 mm and a flute length of 77.00 mm, this drill is sized for consistent chip evacuation across a 5xD depth-of-cut envelope. Installation and operation are handled by machinists and tool-room technicians running CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual lathes.
This drill is intended for use in ferrous and hard-material applications. Primary workpiece material categories include steel, cast iron, and stainless steel, corresponding to material codes P and K.
