The GUHRING 9055150075000 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding industrial and trade applications. Built to DIN 6537L specification, it features a 140-degree split point (SU type) with web thinning for fast, accurate starts and reduced thrust. The FIREX coating provides elevated heat resistance and extended tool life in hard and abrasive materials. At 0.2953 inches in diameter with a 91 mm overall length and a 53 mm flute length, this bit handles deep-hole drilling at a 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio. Machinists, toolroom technicians, and production drilling operators are the primary users.
This drill bit is suited for precision drilling in metals including hardened steels, cast iron, stainless steel, and high-temperature alloys. The straight-cylindrical shank with an 8 mm shank diameter seats securely in standard drill chucks and collet systems. The right-hand spiral flute configuration with regular spiral geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation. It is appropriate for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual machines where tight tolerance work is required. Coolant-through is not supported on this model, so flood or mist coolant applied externally is the standard practice for heat management.
Designed as an OEM-specification replacement or direct-use drill bit compatible with any CNC or manual spindle accepting a straight-cylindrical 8 mm shank; diameter tolerance of 0.006 to 0.021 mm suits close-tolerance drilling applications within the 0.2500 to 0.3000 inch size range.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel familiar with carbide tooling handling practices. Secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet holder and verify runout before beginning a cut, as carbide is brittle and sensitive to lateral shock loads. Power down the spindle completely before changing or inspecting the bit. Do not use this bit in hammer or impact drilling modes.
