The GUHRING 9055120200000 is a taper length, solid carbide drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding materials. Built to Series 5512 specifications, it features a 140-degree split point with web thinning for fast penetration and reduced thrust. The TiAlN coating provides heat resistance and extended tool life in abrasive and high-temperature cutting environments. At 0.7874 inches (20 mm) in diameter with a 7xD flute length, this drill is suited for deep-hole applications where rigidity and chip evacuation are critical. Coolant-through capability supports internal coolant delivery directly to the cutting zone. Licensed machinists and CNC tool setters are the primary users.
This drill bit is used in precision machining environments including aerospace, automotive, energy, and industrial manufacturing. It handles a wide range of difficult materials including stainless steel, titanium alloy, nickel alloy, hardened materials, cast iron, brass, and structural steel. The straight shank and taper length body make it compatible with standard collet chucks and hydraulic tool holders on CNC machining centers and drill presses. The right-hand cut and SU point geometry reduce walking on entry and improve hole quality in multi-material stacks.
Designed for use in stainless steel, titanium alloy, nickel alloy, hardened materials, cast iron, brass, and steel applications. Straight shank fits standard collet chucks and tool holders accepting 0.7874-inch shank diameter tooling.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and undamaged before seating the shank. Verify coolant-through passages are clear and supply pressure is adequate before running deep-hole cycles. Confirm runout is within tolerance at setup to avoid premature edge wear or drill breakage.
