The GUHRING 9055120083300 is a taper length drill bit engineered for demanding precision drilling in hard and abrasive materials. Built from submicron solid carbide, this bit delivers the rigidity and edge retention required for consistent performance in production environments. The 140-degree split point (SU geometry) is web-thinned for self-centering entry, reducing the need for a center punch on most surfaces. Coolant-through design channels cutting fluid directly to the cutting edge, helping manage heat in deep-hole applications. Overall length is 131 millimeters (approximately 5.16 inches), and the drill diameter is 0.3281 inches (21/64 inch).
This drill is suited for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and multi-spindle setups where tight tolerances and difficult workpiece materials are routine. Material applications include brass, cast iron, hardened materials, nickel alloy, stainless steel, carbon and alloy steel, and titanium alloy. The straight shank (0.3937 inch diameter) fits standard ER and Weldon-style toolholders. Maximum drilling depth is 2.933 inches (74.51 mm), making it appropriate for through-holes and deep blind-hole applications within its 7xD flute-length-to-diameter ratio.

Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with CNC or manual machine setup. Secure the straight shank in a balanced, appropriately sized collet or chuck before operation, and verify runout is within acceptable limits for the application. Always engage coolant flow before the cutting edge contacts the workpiece when using the through-coolant feature. Inspect the cutting edge for chipping or wear before each use, as solid carbide tooling can fracture if run in a compromised condition.
