The GUHRING 9055120051600 is a solid carbide taper length drill bit engineered for demanding precision drilling applications. It carries a 140-degree split point (SU point type) with web thinning for self-centering entry, reducing the need for a center punch on most workpieces. The flute length measures 1.9685 inches and the overall length is 3.8189 inches. Coolant-through capability delivers cutting fluid directly to the cutting edge, improving chip evacuation and tool life in deep-hole operations. Licensed HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical contractors as well as machining professionals will find this bit suited to high-cycle production environments.
This drill bit is designed for use across a broad range of materials including brass, cast iron, hardened materials, nickel alloy, stainless steel, steel, and titanium alloy. Its 7xD flute-length-to-diameter ratio makes it well suited for taper-length drilling where extra reach beyond a jobber-length bit is required without stepping up to a full aircraft-extension length. The straight shank and standard 0.2362-inch shank diameter allow mounting in standard drill chucks and collet holders commonly found in machine shop and field drilling setups.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide taper length drill bit for applications requiring a 13/64-inch (0.2031-inch) diameter hole in brass, cast iron, hardened materials, nickel alloy, stainless steel, steel, or titanium alloy. Straight shank fits standard drill chucks and collet holders.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists or trade professionals familiar with cutting tool setup and machine operation. Before mounting, ensure the spindle and chuck are fully de-energized and the machine is locked out per applicable safety procedures. Verify chuck or collet runout is within acceptable limits before drilling — excessive runout accelerates carbide tool wear and can cause breakage. Do not exceed the manufacturer-rated feed and speed parameters for the material being drilled, and ensure coolant supply lines are open and flowing before initiating a cut when using coolant-through capability.
