The GUHRING 9055120046000 is a solid carbide taper length drill bit from the Series 5512 line, designed for high-performance drilling in demanding metalworking applications. Built from submicron-grade carbide and finished with FIREX coating, it delivers extended tool life in tough materials. The 140-degree split point (SU type) is web-thinned for self-centering entry and reduced thrust. At 4.6 mm in diameter with an 85 mm overall length and 45 mm flute length, it is sized for precision through-hole and deep drilling work performed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals.
This drill bit is suited for production and maintenance machining in ferrous and non-ferrous applications. The coolant-through design makes it appropriate for CNC machining centers and multi-spindle setups where internal coolant delivery improves chip evacuation and heat management. Material applications include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, hard materials, brass, nickel alloy, and titanium alloy. The straight cylindrical shank with a 6 mm shank diameter fits standard drill chucks and collet systems commonly found in vertical machining centers and drill presses.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-application drill bit for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and multi-spindle machines accepting a 6 mm straight cylindrical shank. Suitable for use across the material applications listed in the specifications section.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with carbide tooling and CNC or manual drill press setups. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before loading or changing the bit in the chuck or collet. Confirm that the tool holder bore matches the 6 mm shank diameter and that the coolant-through supply line is connected and tested before initiating a drilling cycle. Avoid side loading or interrupted cuts that can fracture solid carbide tooling.
