The GUHRING 9055120037000 is a taper length solid carbide drill bit in the Series 5512 lineup, designed for precision drilling in demanding ferrous and hard-to-machine materials. Built to DIN 6537 standards, it features a 140-degree split point with web thinning for self-centering entry and reduced thrust. The 3.7 mm diameter bit runs a 7xD flute-to-diameter ratio with coolant-through capability, making it well-suited for high-feed CNC applications where heat and chip evacuation are critical. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and CNC operators are the primary users of this bit.
This drill bit is intended for use in alloy steel, cast iron, and stainless steel applications. Its straight shank with a 6.00 mm shank diameter seats directly into standard collet chucks and drill chucks without adapters in most setups. The regular spiral flute geometry supports consistent chip removal across a 29.95 mm maximum drilling depth. It is suited for production environments using CNC machining centers, drill presses, or multi-spindle equipment where repeatability and tool life in tough materials are priorities.
Rated for drilling in alloy steel, cast iron, and stainless steel. Straight shank diameter of 6.00 mm is compatible with standard collet chucks and drill chucks sized for that shank. Designed as an OEM-specification taper length drill in the GUHRING Series 5512 platform.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC technicians familiar with carbide tooling. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and undamaged before seating the shank. Carbide tooling is brittle and should not be subjected to side loads, interrupted cuts beyond design limits, or impact during handling. Verify coolant-through passages are open and delivering adequate flow before running at full feed rates.
