The GUHRING 9055110123000 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in ferrous materials. Built to DIN 6537L standards, it features a 140-degree split-point (SU) tip geometry with web thinning for self-centering entry without a center punch. The FIREX coating provides thermal and wear resistance, extending tool life in demanding production environments. At 4.8819 inches overall length with a 3.0315-inch flute length, this bit handles depths up to 2.305 inches in a single pass. The submicron carbide grade supports consistent performance at elevated cutting speeds. Two spiral flutes clear chips efficiently throughout the cut.
This drill bit is rated for primary use in cast iron and steel workpiece materials, covering material codes K and P. It fits standard CNC machining centers, drill presses, and rotary tool holders accepting a 0.5512-inch straight-cylindrical shank. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and through-coolant capability make it well suited for close-tolerance production drilling in job shop and manufacturing environments. The Series 5511 designation places it within a professional tooling line intended for metalworking trades, tool-and-die work, and precision machining applications where dimensional accuracy and repeatability are required.
Designed as a DIN 6537L jobber-length replacement drill for CNC machining centers and drill presses accepting a 0.5512-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Rated for drilling cast iron and steel workpieces per material codes K and P.
Installation and use of this tool should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with carbide drill handling and CNC setup procedures. Ensure the machine spindle and toolholder are fully powered down and locked out before inserting or removing the bit. Carbide tooling is brittle and should not be subjected to side-loading, interrupted cuts beyond its rated geometry, or impact during handling. Confirm through-coolant connections are active and flow is verified before initiating deep-hole drilling cycles.
