The GUHRING 9055100130000 is a solid carbide screw machine length drill bit engineered for high-performance drilling in demanding production environments. Built to DIN 6537 K standards, this Series 5510 bit features a 140-degree split point (SU type), web thinning, and coolant-through capability for efficient chip evacuation and thermal management. The 13.00 mm (0.5118 inch) diameter is held to a tight tolerance of +0.007 to +0.025 mm. Two spiral flutes in a regular helix pattern promote consistent chip flow. The straight-cylindrical shank seats securely in standard drill chucks and collet holders. Machinists and tooling technicians working in high-cycle production shops are the primary users of this bit.
This drill bit is designed for cutting cast iron and steel in screw machine and CNC drilling applications. Its screw machine length profile provides added rigidity compared to jobber-length bits, reducing deflection in short-hole drilling operations. The coated solid carbide construction handles the elevated cutting speeds and feeds typical of production machining. Coolant-through design allows cutting fluid delivery directly to the cutting edge, extending tool life and supporting deeper cuts within its 57.00 mm maximum drilling depth.
Designed for drilling cast iron and steel workpieces. Primary application is screw machine and CNC short-hole drilling where a straight-cylindrical shank and screw machine length are required. Compatible with standard drill chucks and collet systems accepting a 14.00 mm shank diameter.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank fully in the chuck or collet before initiating a cut, and verify runout before production drilling begins. Always enable coolant flow before engaging the cutting edge when using the through-coolant feature. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear between production runs, as carbide tooling is brittle and sensitive to interrupted cuts or improper feeds and speeds.
