The GUHRING 9055100091300 is a solid carbide screw machine length drill bit designed for high-performance metal cutting applications. It measures 23/64 inches (0.3594 inches) in diameter with a 140-degree split point and a coolant-through design that extends tool life and improves chip evacuation in demanding operations. The straight-cylindrical shank with a 10 mm diameter mounts securely in standard drill chucks and tool holders. This is a right-hand cut, two-flute spiral bit built to DIN 6537 K standards. It belongs to GUHRING Series 5510 and is intended for use by machinists, tool-and-die professionals, and precision metalworking tradespeople.
This drill bit is rated for use on cast iron and steel workpieces in screw machine and CNC drilling operations. The screw machine length format provides a rigid, shorter body that reduces deflection during high-speed drilling cycles. With a maximum drilling depth of 44 mm and a flute-to-diameter ratio of 3xD, it suits through-hole and blind-hole work in production environments where consistent bore tolerance is required. The web-thinned, parallel web configuration reduces thrust force at entry, making it well suited to automated and manual drill press setups.
Designed for drilling cast iron and steel workpieces. Compatible with standard straight-cylindrical shank tool holders and drill chucks accepting a 10 mm shank diameter. Intended for Series 5510 GUHRING tooling setups in screw machine and CNC machining environments.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine locked out per applicable safety procedures. Ensure the tool holder or chuck is clean and properly torqued before use. Coolant lines should be verified and flowing before initiating a drilling cycle when using the through-coolant feature. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each production run to avoid workpiece damage or bit failure.
