The GUHRING 9055000250000 is a single-end countersink designed for precision chamfering and deburring of drilled holes in metalworking applications. Built from cobalt steel, it handles harder workpiece materials where standard high-speed steel tools wear prematurely. The 90-degree included angle is the most common standard for fastener seat preparation, and the three-flute geometry provides a balance of cutting speed and surface finish quality. The 10 mm straight-cylindrical shank mounts directly into standard drill chucks or collet holders. With a 25 mm head diameter, it accommodates a wide range of hole sizes from 3.8 mm minimum cutting diameter up through full head engagement. Overall length is 67 mm. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and maintenance technicians are the typical users.
This countersink is suited for bench drill press, CNC machining center, and hand-held drill motor applications where controlled chamfering is required. It is used on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and other ferrous materials in industrial manufacturing, fabrication shops, and maintenance and repair operations. The right-hand cutting direction is compatible with standard forward-rotating spindles. No pilot is included, so the operator centers the tool on the existing hole opening. The straight-cylindrical shank requires no special toolholder adapter beyond a standard drill chuck or ER collet with a 10 mm bore.
Designed for use in any drill chuck or ER collet toolholder accepting a 10 mm straight-cylindrical shank, compatible with manual drill presses, turret lathes, and CNC machining centers running right-hand rotation.
A licensed machinist or qualified shop technician should install and operate this tool. Secure the shank fully in the collet or chuck before engaging the spindle, and confirm the workpiece is clamped. Power down and de-energize the machine before changing tooling. Do not exceed the recommended speed and feed parameters for the workpiece material; running a cobalt countersink too slowly in hard materials can cause rubbing and premature edge wear.
