The GUHRING 9045700100000 is a spiral flute tap designed for cutting M10 x 1.50 metric internal threads in a wide range of materials. Built from High Speed Steel-E (HSS-E) and coated with a Titanium Nitride (TiN) finish, this tap delivers improved wear resistance and longer tool life compared to uncoated alternatives. It features three flutes with a 40-degree helix angle that efficiently evacuates chips upward out of the hole, making it well suited for blind-hole tapping applications. The Series 4570 design is engineered for reliable performance in production and maintenance environments where consistent thread quality is required. Licensed machinists and tooling specialists are the primary users of this tap.
This tap is intended for metric threading operations requiring an M10 x 1.50 thread profile. With a 2-3 pitch chamfer, it is optimized for use in through-holes and shallow blind holes. The right-hand flute and right-hand thread configuration make it compatible with standard CNC machining centers, drill presses, and tapping heads. It is commonly used in automotive, manufacturing, and general metalworking applications where metric fastener bores are required. Coolant-through capability is not available on this model, so external coolant or cutting fluid application is recommended during use.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement tap for standard M10 x 1.50 metric threading applications in machining, maintenance, and production environments.
Installation is performed by licensed machinists or qualified tooling professionals using a tapping head, CNC machine, or hand tapping wrench. Always ensure the workpiece is securely fixtured and the pilot hole diameter is correctly sized for M10 x 1.50 metric threads before tapping. Apply appropriate cutting fluid or tapping compound to the tap and workpiece to reduce heat and extend tool life. Do not reverse the tap excessively under load, as this can cause flute damage or thread distortion in the workpiece.
