The GUHRING 9042610095200 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding metal-cutting applications. Built on the Series 4261 platform, it features a 0.375-inch diameter ball nose with a 1-inch length of cut and a 2.5-inch overall length. The four-flute configuration and ultra-fine grain carbide substrate support aggressive material removal rates while maintaining edge integrity. A nano-A coating reduces friction and heat buildup at the cutting zone, extending tool life in abrasive workpiece materials. The variable helix design, running between 36 and 38 degrees, helps break up harmonic vibration and improves surface finish across a range of cutting conditions. This tool is installed and used by machinists, toolmakers, and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments.
This ball end mill is suited for profiling, contouring, and finishing operations in stainless steel and steel as primary workpiece materials, with secondary applicability in cast iron. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute geometry make it compatible with standard CNC machining centers and manual mills. Its regular-length classification and 0.375-inch shank diameter allow direct installation into standard ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholders sized for 3/8-inch shanks. It is a single-end tool without coolant-through capability, making it appropriate for flood or mist coolant setups.
Designed for use in standard 3/8-inch end mill holders, ER collet chucks, and shrink-fit toolholders. Primary workpiece materials are stainless steel (M), steel (P), and high-temperature alloys (S); secondary workpiece material is cast iron (K).
This tool is installed by machinists and CNC operators and requires no special certifications beyond standard shop safety practices. Before tool changes, ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state per your shop lockout-tagout procedure. Verify that the shank is fully seated and properly torqued in the toolholder according to the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut or feed rate for the workpiece material without validating against the manufacturer cutting data.
