The GUHRING 9041150254000 is a Series 4115 carbide replaceable tip drill designed for precision hole-making in demanding materials. The tip is manufactured from solid carbide and features a 140-degree included angle with a relieved cone insert geometry. A nano-A coating applied via PVD process reduces friction and extends tool life in high-wear applications. This drill is built for production environments where consistent performance in difficult-to-machine materials is required. It is installed and operated by machinists and tooling specialists in CNC and manual drilling operations.
This replaceable tip drill is engineered primarily for stainless steel workpieces, with secondary capability in superalloys and titanium. The Series 4115 platform uses an insert seat size of 250, and the functional length measures 15.80 millimeters. The replaceable tip design reduces tooling cost by allowing tip replacement without discarding the drill body, making it well suited for high-volume or job-shop environments where material mix includes corrosion-resistant and high-strength alloys.
Designed for use with GUHRING Series 4115 drill bodies accepting an insert seat size of 250. Primary workpiece material compatibility includes stainless steel (ISO material code M), with secondary compatibility for superalloys and titanium (ISO material codes H, P, and S).
Installation and tip changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine locked out per applicable safety procedures. Use the correct torque wrench and seat key specified for Series 4115 tip retention to ensure proper seating before operation. Inspect the insert seat for chips or debris before each tip installation. This drill does not include through-coolant capability, so external coolant or cutting fluid application is recommended when machining stainless steel or high-temperature alloys.
