The GUHRING 9041120214300 is a carbide replaceable tip drill in the Series 4112 platform, designed for high-productivity metal removal in ferrous materials. It accepts a solid carbide tip insert with a 2-facet geometry and a 140-degree included angle, producing accurate entry and clean chip evacuation. The drill body carries a Nano-FIREX PVD coating applied via physical vapor deposition, which reduces friction and extends tool life in demanding cutting cycles. The nominal diameter is 27/32 inches. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and manufacturing engineers running CNC machining centers or manual drilling operations on steel and stainless steel workpieces.
The Series 4112 replaceable tip drill is suited for primary use in steel (ISO material code P) and secondary use in stainless steel (ISO material code K and M). The 2-facet insert geometry and 140-degree point angle are optimized for self-centering entry and consistent hole quality in these material groups. The insert seat size is 210. The functional insert length is 13.90 mm. This drill is a fit for production environments where tip replacement at the machine is preferred over full tool replacement, reducing downtime and tooling cost per hole.
Designed for use with GUHRING Series 4112 replaceable tip drill bodies that accept an insert seat size 210. Compatible workpiece materials include steel (ISO P) and stainless steel (ISO K and M) per the manufacturer grade designation.
Installation and tip replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist following the toolholder manufacturer torque and clamping procedures for Series 4112 bodies. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before seating or removing the carbide tip insert. Inspect the insert seat for chips or debris before assembly. This tool does not feature through-coolant, so external coolant or cutting fluid application is recommended to manage heat at the cutting zone.
