The GUHRING 9041080250050 is a replaceable-tip drill body from the Series 4108 line, designed for precision hole-making in metalworking applications. It accepts HT 800 WP insert tips and covers a drill diameter range of 0.984 to 1.004 inches, making it suitable for close-tolerance bores. The 1-inch straight shank measures 2.205 inches in length, and the overall length of the body is 9.095 inches. Through-coolant capability is built in, supporting high-pressure coolant delivery directly to the cutting zone to extend insert life and evacuate chips efficiently. Maximum drill depth reaches 132.3 mm (5.209 inches). Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the primary users of this tool.
This drill body is suited for production machining environments where consistent hole depth and diameter tolerances are required across medium-to-high volume runs. The through-coolant channel makes it a strong fit for deep-hole drilling in steel, cast iron, and other ferrous materials on CNC machining centers or drill presses equipped with high-pressure coolant systems. The replaceable-tip design reduces downtime compared to solid carbide drills by allowing insert changes at the machine without removing the body from the spindle.
Designed to accept GUHRING HT 800 WP replaceable insert tips. Fits standard 1-inch bore toolholders on CNC machining centers, lathes, and drill presses. Verify through-coolant connection compatibility with the spindle or toolholder in use before installation.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is securely locked before inserting or removing the drill body. When mounting HT 800 WP insert tips, follow the insert manufacturer torque guidelines using the specified Torx or hex key — do not use impact tools on insert screws. Confirm the through-coolant port alignment with the toolholder coolant channel before running the spindle to avoid dry cutting.
