The GUHRING 9039980048260 is a spiral flute tap designed for blind hole threading in demanding materials, including stainless steel. Built from powdered metal with a TiN (titanium nitride) coating, it delivers extended tool life and reduced friction during tapping operations. The modified bottoming chamfer allows threading closer to the bottom of a blind hole than a standard plug or taper tap. With a 40-degree helix angle and fast flute style, this tap efficiently evacuates chips upward and out of the hole, reducing the risk of chip packing in tight cavities. It measures 2.382 inches overall length and is intended for use by machinists, tool-and-die makers, and maintenance professionals working with precision threaded fastener applications.

Installation Notes
