The GUHRING 9039180040000 is a spiral flute tap designed for cutting internal metric coarse threads in blind holes. Built from cobalt high-speed steel with a bright/uncoated finish, this tap handles M4 x 0.70 threading with a 40-degree helix angle that efficiently evacuates chips upward out of the hole. The modified bottoming chamfer allows threading closer to the bottom of blind bores than a standard plug tap. It carries a 6H class of fit and D3/D4 thread limit, producing threads that meet standard metric tolerance requirements.
