The GUHRING 9038370100000 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding machining environments. Part of the Series 3837, this single-end tool features a 0.3937 inch cutting diameter, a 0.8661 inch length of cut, and a 10.00 mm shank. The variable helix design runs at 35 and 38 degrees, reducing harmonic chatter during aggressive passes. A FIREX coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life across a broad range of workpiece materials. Centercutting geometry allows both plunge and conventional milling operations. This tool is intended for use by machinists and CNC programmers in job shops, manufacturing facilities, and precision machining operations.
This end mill fits standard machining applications where a long-reach, right-hand spiral flute tool is required. The extended reach configuration, with a 40.00 mm reach length and 80.00 mm overall length, suits deep-pocket milling, shoulder milling, and slotting operations where clearance from the holder is critical. Right-hand cutting direction pairs with right-hand flute orientation for standard spindle rotation. The solid carbide construction supports use in hardened steels, stainless steels, cast iron, and non-ferrous alloys depending on feeds and speeds selected for the application.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide square end mill suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills with standard straight-shank tool holders accepting a 0.3937 inch (10.00 mm) shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before loading or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully into the collet or end mill holder and torque the retention mechanism to the tool holder specification before engaging the spindle. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut to confirm proper seating and minimize premature wear.
