The GUHRING 9037410060000 is a solid carbide square end mill engineered for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. Part of the Series 3741 line, it features a 0.236-inch (6.00 mm) mill diameter and a 0.394-inch length of cut. The three-flute, right-hand spiral configuration with a 45-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting action. A FIREX coating provides enhanced wear resistance and thermal protection, extending tool life when working through abrasive or hard materials. This is a single-end, centercutting tool with a straight cylindrical shank, suited for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills operated by machinists and tool-and-die professionals.
This end mill is designed for milling cast iron, stainless steel, and steel, corresponding to ISO material groups K, M, and P. Secondary workpiece compatibility extends to ISO groups N and S. The regular length-type geometry and 0.236-inch shank diameter make it a practical choice for slot milling, profiling, and contouring operations where a compact, rigid tool is required. It is a single-piece, individually packaged tool with a minimum order quantity of one unit.
Designed for use in standard end mill holders, ER collet chucks, and hydraulic toolholders accepting a 6.00 mm (0.2362-inch) straight shank. Primary workpiece materials include cast iron, stainless steel, and steel (ISO K, M, P); secondary compatibility covers ISO N and S material groups.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's toolholding torque and runout specifications. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the end mill. Secure the shank to the minimum recommended engagement depth specified by the toolholder manufacturer to prevent pullout under cutting loads. Verify spindle runout at the tool tip before initiating a cut to protect both the tool and the workpiece.
