The GUHRING 9037410030000 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. Part of the Series 3741 lineup, this single-end tool features a 3-flute spiral configuration with a 45-degree helix angle and a FIREX coating for extended tool life under high-heat cutting conditions. The cutting diameter is 0.118 inches (3.00 mm) with a length of cut of 0.276 inches (7.00 mm) and an overall length of 38.00 mm. Centercutting geometry allows for direct plunge entry. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 0.1181 inches (3.00 mm) in diameter to a h6 tolerance, ensuring consistent chuck retention on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is rated for cutting cast iron, stainless steel, and steel, covering ISO material groups K, M, and P. Secondary material compatibility extends to non-ferrous metals and heat-resistant superalloys (N and S codes). It is suited for finishing and light roughing passes in tight-tolerance components on CNC machining centers, die and mold work, and production milling environments where small-diameter tooling is required. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute geometry is standard for conventional machine spindles. No coolant-through capability is present on this tool, making it appropriate for flood or mist coolant delivery from the outside.
Designed for use in standard straight-bore collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, and end mill holders accepting a 3.00 mm (0.1181 inches) shank diameter. Suitable for CNC machining centers and manual vertical mills configured for right-hand rotation. Rated for ISO material groups K (cast iron), M (stainless steel), and P (steel), with secondary suitability for N and S material groups.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Clean the collet bore and shank with a lint-free cloth before seating to prevent runout. Confirm holder torque specifications per the toolholder manufacturer's guidelines and verify radial runout with a dial indicator before production cutting.
