The GUHRING 9031550190500 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining environments. Built to Series 3155 specifications, it features a 0.75-inch cutting diameter, a 3-inch length of cut, and a 6-inch overall length, making it well suited for deep-reach milling operations. The four-flute, 30-degree right-hand spiral geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting action. A FIREX coating enhances wear resistance and thermal stability, extending tool life when cutting abrasive or hard workpiece materials. This is a single-end, centercutting tool with a straight cylindrical shank, installed by machinists and toolroom professionals running CNC or manual milling equipment.
This end mill is designed for milling applications in cast iron, stainless steel, and steel, covering ISO material codes P, M, and K. Secondary workpiece material codes N and S indicate additional suitability for nonferrous and superalloy cutting with appropriate feeds and speeds. The extra-long length type makes it a practical choice when standard-reach tooling cannot access the required depth of cut. It is appropriate for use in vertical machining centers, horizontal mills, and manual knee mills where a 0.75-inch straight-cylindrical shank collet or end mill holder is available.
Designed for use in milling operations on cast iron, stainless steel, and steel (ISO P, M, K) with secondary compatibility for nonferrous and superalloy materials (ISO N, S). Requires a 0.75-inch end mill holder, collet chuck, or Weldon-style holder. No coolant-through capability; external or flood coolant is recommended for optimal performance.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for toolholder torque and runout specifications. Verify spindle and holder cleanliness before seating the shank to maintain concentricity within acceptable limits. Set appropriate feeds and speeds for the specific workpiece material and machine rigidity before beginning the cut. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer recommended depth of cut or axial engagement for solid carbide tooling.
