The GUHRING 9030910158770 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for finishing operations in demanding materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. Built to Series 3091 specifications, it features a 5/8 inch diameter with a 0.09 inch corner radius and six helical flutes in a close-pitch configuration. The FIREX coating provides thermal and chemical resistance, extending tool life in high-heat cutting environments. A high helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. This single-end, right-hand cutting tool is intended for use with standard end mill holders and is sized for CNC machining centers and manual mills where precise corner geometry is required.
This end mill is suited for finishing passes on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard non-ferrous materials in both production and job-shop environments. The 1-1/4 inch length of cut and 3-1/2 inch overall length make it a practical choice for medium-depth pocketing, profiling, and contouring where a controlled corner radius is specified. It is designed for use in end mill holders and is appropriate for aerospace, die and mold, and general precision machining applications where tight tolerances on corner geometry are critical.
Designed for use with end mill holders. Compatible workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, non-ferrous metal, other non-ferrous metals, and hard materials. Series 3091 designation applies.
Installation is performed by machinists and CNC tooling technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or quill is locked before inserting or removing the tool. Seat the straight cylindrical shank fully into the end mill holder and torque the retention mechanism per the holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout at the cutting tip before initiating the first pass, particularly when tight corner radius tolerances are required.
