The GUHRING 9030810158700 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Part of the Series 3081, it features a nano-A finish coating that reduces friction and extends tool life in demanding cutting applications. The 5/8 inch cutting diameter is paired with a 1-1/4 inch length of cut and a 3-1/2 inch overall length, making it suitable for standard-depth slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling. Four flutes provide a balance of chip evacuation and surface finish quality. The 38-degree helix angle and centercutting geometry allow this tool to plunge as well as side mill. Machinist and CNC operators working in production or job-shop environments are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is suited for use in vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills where a 5/8 inch collet or end mill holder is available. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is the standard for conventional and climb milling. The coarse pitch and variable helix style reduce harmonic vibration during aggressive cuts, making it a practical choice for high-material-removal-rate operations in steel, stainless, cast iron, and similar workpiece materials. It ships as a single unit.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill for use with standard 5/8 inch end mill holders, collet chucks, or Weldon shank tool holders on CNC or manual milling machines.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or locked-out state before inserting or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully in the holder and torque the set screw or collet nut to the tool holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut to protect both the tool and the workpiece.
