The GUHRING 9026020039700 is a jobber-length drill bit designed for precision drilling in metalworking and machining applications. Built from submicron-grade solid carbide and finished with a Titanium Nitride (TiN) coating, this bit delivers extended tool life and reduced cutting friction compared to standard HSS tooling. It measures 3.125 inches overall with a 2.0-inch flute length, a 5/32-inch straight-cylindrical shank, and a 130-degree drill point angle. The parabolic flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation, making it well suited for production environments where consistent hole quality is required. Installation and operation are handled by machinists and toolroom professionals.
This drill bit is engineered primarily for use on aluminum and non-ferrous materials, as indicated by its K, N, and P workpiece material classifications. The 8xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports deeper drilling passes relative to bit diameter. With a maximum drilling depth of 1.81 inches (45.95 mm) and a diameter tolerance of +0.000 to -0.018 mm, it is appropriate for close-tolerance hole work on CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual mills where positional and size accuracy matter. The web-thinned, tapered web configuration reduces thrust requirements at the point of entry.
Designed as a Series 2602 jobber-length drill bit per ANSI specification, suited for use in standard drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 5/32-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece materials are aluminum and non-ferrous metals (material codes K, N, P).
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel familiar with carbide tooling. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and machine is powered down before loading or changing the bit. Carbide tooling is brittle and should not be subjected to side-loading or interrupted cuts beyond its design parameters. Confirm chuck or collet runout is within acceptable limits before use, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear and can cause premature breakage.
