The GUHRING 9026020031700 is a jobber-length drill bit designed for precision drilling in aluminum and other non-ferrous and ferrous materials. Built from submicron-grade solid carbide and coated with titanium nitride (TiN), this bit delivers consistent cutting performance and extended tool life compared to standard high-speed steel alternatives. It measures 2.75 inches overall with a 1/8-inch straight-cylindrical shank and a 130-degree standard point angle. The parabolic flute geometry improves chip evacuation at higher feed rates, making it well suited for production drilling and close-tolerance work in machine shop, HVAC fabrication, and light-industrial environments.
This drill bit fits applications where tight diameter tolerances are required. With a diameter tolerance of +0.000 to -0.018 mm, it holds consistent hole sizing across repeated operations. The 130-degree split point reduces walking on entry and lowers thrust requirements. It is designed for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and handheld pneumatic or electric drills where a 1/8-inch straight-cylindrical shank is accepted. Primary workpiece material is aluminum, with material codes K, N, and P covered. Maximum drilling depth is 1.46 inches (37.05 mm).
Designed as a Series 2602 jobber-length drill bit for use with standard 1/8-inch straight-cylindrical shank tool holders, collet chucks, and Jacobs-style chucks in CNC and manual drilling applications. Primary workpiece material compatibility is rated for aluminum and materials designated under codes K, N, and P per the supplier specification.
This bit is installed by a machinist or tool-and-die technician into a compatible 1/8-inch collet or drill chuck; confirm runout and chuck condition before operation to protect the carbide cutting edges. Carbide tooling is brittle and should not be dropped or used in applications with significant lateral load or interrupted cuts beyond the tool's rated capacity. Ensure spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material before engaging the cut. No coolant-through capability is present on this tool, so external coolant or cutting fluid application is recommended for extended production runs.
