The GUHRING 9026010051100 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit in No. 7 wire size (0.2012 inches diameter), built for precision drilling in aluminum and non-ferrous materials. The 130-degree split point with web thinning reduces thrust and improves centering on entry without a center punch. A parabolic flute geometry evacuates chips aggressively through the full 2.438-inch flute length. Submicron carbide grade delivers edge retention in abrasive materials where high-speed steel would degrade quickly. The bright uncoated finish suits applications where coating adhesion or chemical interaction is a concern. Installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in production and maintenance environments.
This bit is suited for drilling aluminum, plastics, and other non-ferrous workpiece materials in both CNC and manual drill press setups. The straight-cylindrical shank accommodates standard drill chucks and collet holders without modification. With an 8xD flute-to-diameter ratio and a maximum drilling depth of 2.187 inches, it handles typical jobber-range through-hole and blind-hole operations. GUHRING Series 2601 bits are used in light manufacturing, aerospace component work, and general machine shop production where dimensional accuracy and clean exit holes are required.
Designed for drilling aluminum, plastics, and non-ferrous materials (material codes K, N, P). Fits standard drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 0.2012-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Conforms to ANSI standards for jobber-length drill bits in the 0.2000 to 0.2500 inch diameter range.
Install in a properly rated drill chuck or collet holder, ensuring full shank engagement before operation. Confirm spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for carbide tooling in the target material — carbide requires rigid setups with minimal runout to avoid chipping the cutting edge. Do not use this bit in hammer-drill mode. Inspect the cutting edge before each use; carbide is hard but brittle and should be handled to avoid impact damage during storage and setup.
