The GUHRING 9024630093000 is a solid carbide screw machine length (stub) drill bit designed for high-precision drilling in metalworking and machining applications. Built to DIN 6539 standards using K40 carbide grade, this bit measures 9.30 mm (0.3661 inches) in diameter with an overall length of 84.00 mm (3.307 inches). The 118-degree faceted drill point and web-thinned geometry reduce entry force and improve centering. Two spiral flutes provide efficient chip evacuation. Intended for installation and use by machinists, toolroom technicians, and production drilling operators working on CNC or manual machine tools.
This drill bit is rated for general purpose use with a primary workpiece material of aluminum, though the K40 solid carbide construction and DIN 6539 specification make it suitable for a range of non-ferrous and light ferrous materials depending on cutting parameters. The stub length format provides added rigidity compared to jobber-length bits, making it well suited for short, accurate through-holes and blind holes in production environments. Maximum drilling depth is 1.026 inches (26.05 mm) at a 3xD flute-to-diameter ratio. The straight-cylindrical shank seats directly into standard drill chucks or collet holders accepting 9.30 mm shanks.
Designed as a DIN 6539 Series 2463 stub-length carbide drill bit for use in standard drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 9.30 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Suited for general purpose drilling in aluminum and similar workpiece materials across the 0.3500 to 0.4000 inch (8.00 to 9.50 mm) drill bit size range.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machinists with the machine at a full stop and in a locked-out or e-stopped state before handling the spindle or tool holder. Seat the straight-cylindrical shank fully and evenly in the chuck or collet to prevent runout and premature edge wear. Do not exceed the maximum drilling depth of 1.026 inches per pass without retracting to clear chips. Refer to the tooling manufacturer and machine OEM documentation for appropriate feed rates and spindle speeds for the target workpiece material.
