The GUHRING 9014520058000 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for precision drilling in demanding machining applications. Built to DIN 6539 standards, it measures 5.8 mm in diameter (0.2283 inches) with a 150-degree drill point angle and a three-flute spiral configuration. The web-thinned, tapered web design promotes self-centering entry and reduces thrust load at the cutting tip. The bright, uncoated finish is suited for use in non-ferrous metals and other materials where coating is not required. Machinists, tool and die makers, and CNC operators working in production or precision environments are the primary users of this bit.
This drill bit is applied in production drilling environments where accuracy and tool longevity are critical. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and a maximum drilling depth of 30.30 mm (1.19 inches) make it well suited for through-holes and blind holes in medium-depth applications. Its straight-cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks and collet systems, making it compatible with CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual lathes used in metal fabrication, mold making, and precision manufacturing shops.
Designed as an OEM-specification replacement or direct-use solid carbide jobber drill in the 5.00 mm to 6.00 mm diameter range, fitting standard straight-cylindrical shank drill chucks and collet holders used in CNC and manual machine tools.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician familiar with carbide tooling handling practices. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before inserting or removing the bit from the chuck or collet. Carbide is brittle — avoid side loading, interrupted cuts without adequate setup, or dropping the bit on hard surfaces. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling supplier guidelines for recommended speeds and feeds for the specific work material.
