The GUHRING 9014520054000 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for precision drilling in demanding applications. Built to DIN 6539 standards, it features a 150-degree point angle and a web-thinned, tapered web configuration for self-centering entry without a center punch. The submicron carbide grade delivers hardness and wear resistance well beyond high-speed steel alternatives. At 5.40mm (0.2126 inches) in diameter and 66mm (2.5984 inches) overall length, this bit fits standard straight-cylindrical collets and chucks. Three spiral flutes in a regular helix evacuate chips efficiently, keeping the cut clean through the full 30.90mm (1.2200 inches) maximum drilling depth.
This drill bit is suited for machining centers, CNC drilling operations, and manual drill presses where close-tolerance hole quality is required. The self-centering point geometry and web thinning make it a practical choice for production environments drilling steel, cast iron, aluminum, and similar materials. The bright, uncoated finish is appropriate for general-purpose use and allows easy visual inspection of the cutting edges between uses. It is typically specified by machinists, tool-and-die makers, and precision sheet-metal fabricators working to tight diameter tolerances.
Designed as an OEM-compatible jobber-length drill bit for use in standard straight-cylindrical collets, ER collet chucks, and keyed or keyless drill chucks accepting a 0.2126-inch (5.40mm) shank diameter. Fits within the 5.00mm to 6.00mm (0.2000 to 0.2500 inch) drill bit size range.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with carbide cutting tools. Ensure the machine spindle and chuck are fully stopped and the machine is powered down before inserting or removing the bit. Carbide tooling is brittle and should not be used in machines with excessive runout, as lateral shock loads can cause chipping or fracture. Verify collet or chuck condition and seating before beginning any drilling operation.
