The GUHRING 9007690035000 is a straight-flute die drill bit engineered for high-performance drilling in non-ferrous and light alloy materials. Built from submicron-grade solid carbide, this bit delivers exceptional hardness and edge retention in demanding production environments. The tool measures 3.50 mm (0.1378 inches) in diameter with an overall length of 74.00 mm and features an uncoated finish suited to aluminum and similar workpiece materials. Coolant-through design with a round coolant-hole shape supports chip evacuation and heat management during deep-hole drilling. The drill carries a DIN 6535HA shank specification and a web-thinned point to reduce thrust on entry.
This drill is intended for precision machining applications in metalworking and die-making operations where tight tolerances and consistent hole geometry are required. Its 7xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports drilling depths up to 28.75 mm (1.132 inches), making it well suited for fixture work, mold components, and close-tolerance bores in aluminum, aluminum alloy, and cast iron workpieces. Installation is performed by qualified machinists on CNC machining centers or precision drill presses equipped with appropriate toolholding for a 6.00 mm straight shank.
Designed for use with toolholders conforming to DIN 6535HA standards. Primary workpiece materials include aluminum and aluminum alloy; secondary applications include cast iron. Diameter tolerance of +0.004 to +0.016 mm supports close-tolerance bore requirements typical of die and mold work.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine fully de-energized and in a locked-out state. Confirm that the toolholder bore and clamping mechanism are compatible with the 6.00 mm straight shank and DIN 6535HA specification before seating the tool. Verify coolant-through supply pressure and flow rate match the machine spindle's delivery capability before initiating a cut. Follow the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the target workpiece material to avoid premature edge wear or breakage.
