The GUHRING 9007320097000 is a jobber length drill bit engineered for precision drilling in aluminum and other non-ferrous materials. Built from solid carbide with a bright uncoated finish, this bit delivers consistent performance in general-purpose machining applications. It features a 118-degree faceted point angle with web thinning for reduced entry force and improved centering. The two-flute spiral geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation. At 9.7 mm in diameter and 133 mm overall length, it fits standard straight-cylindrical toolholders and is manufactured to DIN specification with an h8 diameter tolerance for reliable dimensional accuracy. Machinists and toolroom professionals install this bit in CNC machining centers and conventional drill presses.
This drill bit is suited for production and maintenance drilling in aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and comparable workpiece materials coded N. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports drilling depths up to approximately 72.45 mm (2.852 inches) without through-coolant. It belongs to GUHRING Series 732 and is appropriate for general-purpose applications where a solid carbide jobber drill is preferred over HSS for improved rigidity and wear resistance in light-alloy materials.
Designed as a general-purpose jobber length drill for use in CNC machining centers, turret lathes, and conventional drill presses accepting a 9.7 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material designation is N (aluminum and non-ferrous alloys).
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Secure the shank fully in a collet, drill chuck, or toolholder rated for the shank diameter before operation. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or wear before each use, as carbide is brittle and sensitive to impact loading. Do not use this bit on hardened steels or abrasive materials outside its rated workpiece material class.
