The GUHRING 9007320018500 is a solid carbide jobber length drill bit in wire size 49, equal to 0.0728 inches in diameter. Designed for general purpose drilling, it features a 118-degree faceted point angle and a right-hand spiral flute geometry with web thinning at the tip. The bright uncoated finish makes it well suited for non-ferrous materials, particularly aluminum. With an overall length of 46 millimeters and a flute length of 22 millimeters, it fits standard drill chucks and collets with a straight-cylindrical shank. Machinists, tool and die technicians, and precision fabricators use this bit for controlled-depth drilling in light alloy and aluminum workpieces.
This drill bit is built for general purpose machining applications where a small-diameter, high-precision hole is required. Its 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and regular spiral geometry support chip evacuation in shallow-to-moderate depth holes. The bit is sized to the DIN specification standard and carries an h8 diameter tolerance on both the cutting diameter and shank, making it compatible with precision collet holders and standard Jacobs-style chucks. Typical applications include instrument panels, aluminum extrusions, electronic enclosures, and light fabrication work requiring a Number 49 wire gauge hole.
Designed as an OEM-style general purpose drill bit for use in standard drill chucks, collet holders, and CNC spindles accepting a 1.85 millimeter straight-cylindrical shank with h8 tolerance.
This bit should be installed by a machinist or qualified technician in a drill press, milling machine, or CNC machining center. Secure the shank fully in the collet or chuck before operation and verify runout is within acceptable limits for the tolerance class. For aluminum and other non-ferrous materials, use appropriate cutting fluid or air blast to assist chip evacuation and prevent built-up edge. Do not exceed the maximum drilling depth of 0.757 inches in a single pass without pecking cycles.
