The GUHRING 9006580022600 is a cobalt jobber length drill bit in wire gauge size No. 43, with a decimal diameter of 0.0890 inches. It carries a Titanium Nitride (TiN) coating over a high-performance cobalt substrate, delivering improved surface hardness and heat resistance during continuous drilling operations. The 130-degree split point and parabolic flute geometry reduce thrust force and improve chip evacuation. Overall length is 2-3/32 inches with a 1-1/16 inch flute length. The straight-cylindrical shank seats directly in standard drill chucks. This bit is built to Series 658 and conforms to DIN 338, making it a recognized standard in precision metalworking environments. Machinists, tool and die technicians, and industrial maintenance pros are the primary users.
This drill bit is rated for use in cast iron and steel workpiece materials, matching material codes K and P in the ISO classification system. It is well suited for general-purpose production drilling in job shops, MRO environments, and manufacturing facilities where consistent hole quality in ferrous metals is required. The parabolic flute design with web thinning supports deeper hole drilling up to a maximum depth of 0.930 inches. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports efficient chip clearance at that depth. This bit ships individually but carries a minimum order quantity of 10 units per purchase.
Designed for use in standard drill chucks accepting a 0.0890 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Rated for drilling cast iron and steel workpiece materials per ISO material codes K and P.
Install in a drill press, CNC machining center, or hand drill with a chuck rated for the shank diameter. Secure the shank fully in the chuck jaws before starting. Ensure the workpiece is properly clamped or fixtured before drilling. Always wear appropriate eye protection and follow shop safety protocols when machining ferrous materials.
