The GUHRING 9006520021800 is a No. 44 wire-size jobber-length drill bit built to DIN 338 standards. It is manufactured from heavy-duty high-speed steel (HSS) and finished with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating that extends cutting tool life by reducing friction and resisting heat buildup. The bit features a 130-degree split point with web thinning for fast penetration and reduced walking on entry. A parabolic flute geometry improves chip evacuation during deeper passes. Overall length is 2.0938 inches, flute length is 1.0625 inches, and the decimal inch diameter is 0.0860 inch. Right-hand cutting direction. Straight cylindrical shank diameter is 0.0858 inch.
This drill bit is suited for production and maintenance drilling in steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials. The parabolic flute design and TiN coating make it a strong choice for high-cycle drilling in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and handheld production drilling fixtures. Maximum drilling depth is 0.9340 inch, making it appropriate for through-hole and shallow blind-hole work in thin to medium stock. Machinists, tool-room technicians, and maintenance mechanics are the primary users of this Series 652 bit.
Designed for use in standard drill chucks and collets accepting a 0.0858-inch straight shank. Primary workpiece materials are steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous alloys. Conforms to DIN 338 specification.
This bit is installed by machinists and maintenance technicians in drill presses, CNC machining centers, or handheld power tools equipped with a compatible chuck or collet. Secure the shank fully in the chuck before operation and verify runout before beginning a production run. Do not exceed the recommended maximum drilling depth of 0.9340 inch per pass without retracting to clear chips. Coolant-through is not supported on this bit; apply cutting fluid externally when drilling steel or cast iron.
