The GUHRING 9006220010000 is a cobalt jobber length drill bit sized at 1 mm (0.0394 inches) in diameter with a 130-degree split point angle. Built to DIN 338 standards, it features a parabolic flute geometry and a web-thinned, tapered web configuration that promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduced thrust during drilling. The bright, uncoated cobalt construction provides heat resistance without the added friction of a coating, making it well suited for extended production runs. Right-hand cut with a straight-cylindrical shank, this bit is a direct fit for standard drill chucks used in machining and fabrication environments.
This drill bit is designed for use on aluminum and non-ferrous materials as well as plastics and some steels, covering primary workpiece material codes K, N, and P. With an overall length of 34 mm (1-11/32 inches) and a flute length of 12 mm (15/32 inches), it is sized for tight-tolerance work in small-diameter drilling applications. The maximum drilling depth is 10.50 mm (0.4130 inches), and the 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports deep hole stability at this scale. It is sold individually and suited for professional machine shop, maintenance, and production drilling setups.
Designed as an OEM-specification replacement or direct-use drill bit conforming to DIN 338 for standard jobber length drill applications. Compatible with workpiece materials coded K (non-ferrous metals such as aluminum), N (non-metals and plastics), and P (steels) per the input specifications. Fits any standard drill chuck accepting a 0.0394-inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation is performed by machinists, toolroom technicians, or maintenance professionals using a standard keyed or keyless drill chuck. Ensure the chuck and spindle are fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing bits. Secure the shank fully into the chuck to the recommended grip depth to prevent runout. Always match spindle speed and feed rate to the workpiece material and bit diameter per the machine manufacturer guidelines.
