The GUHRING 9005490095200 is a jobber-length twist drill bit designed for productive metal removal in a range of general-purpose and high-performance drilling applications. Built from high speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, this bit features a parabolic flute geometry that improves chip evacuation and allows higher feed rates compared to standard flute designs. The 130-degree split point reduces walking at entry and lowers thrust force. At 5-1/4 inches overall length with a 3-7/16 inch flute length, it fits standard drill chucks in both portable and stationary machines. Manufactured to DIN 338 standards, it carries a high-performance grade rating from GUHRING.
This drill bit is intended for right-hand cutting in jobber-length applications across light manufacturing, maintenance, and fabrication environments. Its parabolic flute profile and web-thinned point make it particularly well suited for drilling aluminum and non-ferrous materials, as reflected in its primary workpiece material rating. It is equally applicable to general steel drilling where consistent hole quality and chip control are required. The straight cylindrical shank accepts standard three-jaw chucks without adapters, keeping setup fast on drill presses, CNC machines, and hand drills.
Designed as an OEM-style jobber length drill bit compatible with standard three-jaw drill chucks accepting a 3/8 inch straight cylindrical shank, suitable for use in drill presses, CNC drilling stations, and handheld power drills across industrial and trade applications.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists or tradespeople familiar with proper drilling techniques. Always secure the workpiece firmly and ensure the drill chuck is tightened fully before operation. Match spindle speed and feed rate to the workpiece material and bit diameter according to standard cutting data references. Inspect the cutting edges for wear or damage before each use and replace the bit when performance degrades.
