The GUHRING 9005300027800 is a jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in cast iron and steel. Built from PM-ASP-60 powdered metal and finished with a FIREX coating, this bit delivers extended tool life and heat resistance in demanding production and maintenance environments. The 130-degree drill point angle with cone relief geometry and web-thinned, tapered web configuration reduces thrust and improves chip evacuation. With a parabolic flute and a 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio, it is engineered for fast, clean penetration in ferrous materials. Licensed HVAC technicians, machinists, and trade professionals use this bit for precision hole-making in sheet metal, structural steel, and cast iron components.
This drill bit is suited for residential and commercial trade applications where consistent, repeatable hole quality is required in steel and cast iron workpieces. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks without modification. It follows the DIN 338 specification, making it a direct fit for production and field service workflows that require metric-standard tooling. The parabolic flute geometry supports both handheld and machine-mounted drilling operations at moderate to high spindle speeds.
Designed for drilling cast iron and steel workpieces. Primary workpiece material codes K and P per DIN classification. Compatible with standard drill chucks accepting a 7/64-inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Install in a drill press, CNC machine, or handheld drill with a properly rated chuck before powering on the machine. Ensure the shank is fully seated and the chuck is tightened securely before operation. Use appropriate cutting fluid or coolant for extended runs in steel; note that this bit does not support internal coolant-through delivery. Inspect the cutting edges for wear before each use and replace when the FIREX coating shows significant loss at the drill point.
